Steps To Success
These five steps will take you all the way from letting us know you are interested in attending Trident Tech to showing up to your first day of class. Each step contains many useful links that will help you complete each step. If you ever need help our Admissions office is here to answer your questions.
Apply for Admission - No Application Fee!
Whether you are a new applicant or a returning student at TTC, create an account on Apply Now and complete the online application. Once you have completed and submitted your application, you will be able to view any supplemental items needed to complete your application steps on your Apply Now account.
New and returning students can determine what documents will need to be submitted on the Admission Requirements page.
When new students submit applications, most will need to provide the following supplemental items to the Admissions office prior to being admitted and allowed to register in courses:
- Proof of high school graduation or GED (more info).
- Proof of English and math proficiency (more info).
- Proof of legal presence in the United States (more info).
The Admissions office will send emails and a letter with information on how to access my.tridenttech.edu for your TTC-issued email account and other important portal functions. Be sure to log in frequently for updates and important announcements that are only available through these accounts, as these are the official means of communication for TTC departments and faculty.
NOTE: If you are interested in registering for a Workforce Training (formerly Continuing Education) program you do not have to apply and be admitted to the college to take these noncredit courses. Simply register and pay online or by phone.
Plan for Financial Aid and Veterans Assistance
Create your Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID and complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) here. TTC's school code is 004920. Submit the FAFSA as early as possible for the term/semester in which you plan to enroll.
Check TTC email for confirmation and follow-up instructions.
Log into Financial Aid Self Service in my.tridenttech.edu for your personalized view and complete all required actions.
For a general estimate on what it will cost to attend TTC, use the Net Price Calculator.
TTC also has a number of campus-based scholarships. Plus, free tuition is available for Fall Semester.
Remember to check your my.tridenttech.edu account at least twice a week for updates on your status.
Veterans Assistance: Submit your request for VA certification immediately after completing registration. Enrollment is certified to the VA on a first-come, first served basis. VA students should attend a VA orientation session.
NOTE: Workforce Training (formerly Continuing Education) programs do not qualify for traditional financial aid. Check the Scholarships and Other Funding Opportunities page specifically for Workforce Training programs for any current opportunities available.
Navigate Your Path to Success
Complete your Navigate to Success session in-person or online here. During your Navigate to Success session you will learn about additional resources such as tutoring, Counseling and Disability services, employment assistance, use of the portal, Navigate and more.

Undecided and non-degree seeking students will not be assigned to a specific Navigator but will receive assistance with onboarding and enrollment at The Hub.
Disabilities Accommodations: Meet with a counselor and provide any documentation requested.
Buy Books
Once you are registered, you may purchase your books through the Bookstore. Do not open them or write in them until you are sure that you have the correct books, that the class has not been canceled or that you will not make changes in your schedule.
You may obtain your Student ID in the Student Life office on Thornley Campus, in the Admissions office on Palmer, and in the Library on Berkeley.

Payment Plan: If you are interested, sign up for the NBS payment plan by the published enrollment dates. The tuition payment plan is not a loan program. There is no debt incurred. There is no credit search. There are no interest or finance charges.
